Welcome to my Web Pages

My name is Victor H Royer, and for the past 27 years I have been in Las Vegas. First as a player of casino games, and then, and now, as author of gaming books, and a consultant to the gaming industry. My national gaming columns have been in continuous publication since 1984. Today, my many columns on casino games and gaming can be read on the Internet, and in magazines around the world. You can read some of these articles, and watch several of my videos, by clicking on the following links:

I am also the author of many books on casino games, and gaming. My newest series of books are profiled in these web pages. I am still in the process of building these new web pages, so please check back in from time to time, as I improve the content and add more details and features.

New Book

My new book is now available, ISBN 978-1-4502-3801-4. You can order a copy through the Gambler's Book Club toll-free at 1-800-522-1777.

This book is about the most advanced and cutting-edge technology of the newest casino slots, and casino slot machine games. I have obtained unprecedented access directly to the game designers and manufacturers, and this book therefore takes you directly into the world of casino slots. In this book I also showcase many of the best new casino slots available.

Please note also that the Gambler's Book Shop has recently moved, and changed it's name to the: Gambler's Book Club. The new address is: 5473 South Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89119. The phone number is the same, and the links to their web site have been updated here on my pages.

New Interview

I have recently been interviewed by Alan Mendelson for his radio and TV show "Best Buys". This is now available on You Tube, at this link: Interview, or you can view it here:

I would have liked some make-up. It was 5:00 AM, and we had no coffee. Yet. Next time  --Starbucks first.

Podcast

I recently completed a podcast at the Gambler's Book Shop in Las Vegas, Episode 49. This is an audio interview, in which I had a chance to discuss many aspects of gaming with Howard Schwartz, the fabled owner of this iconic Las Vegas historical landmark. And a few good stories as well. The podcast can be found at this link: http://gamblersbookclub.libsyn.com/

Casino Capers Post Cards

I have created a new series of humorous Post Cards, based on visits to casinos. You can view samples of these designs on my Casino Capers page, or you can click here.

A New Series of Casino Books for the 21st Century

Casino gambling and casino games have changed. So much so that now more than ever you need books that cover everything, and account for the changes in the games and the way the games are actually played in today's casinos, including the ever-more-sophisticated newest electronic games. Advances in computer technology have fueled an ever-growing variety of slot machines, video poker machines and games, video keno, and multi-hand, multi-game and multi-denominational machines.

In addition, there have been many alterations to the rules of playing and dealing of many of the traditional table games. It is, therefore, no longer possible to play these games merely in the traditional manner, nor use only the traditional advice, such as -- for example -- the many various card counting strategies for Blackjack.

For example, do you know why a 6:5 payback on a natural 21 in Blackjack is a really bad deal? Or what to do on a Blackjack table with an automatic shuffling machine? Or what the differences are between various shuffling machines and why? Or, how to find the best-paying video poker machine? Or where to find the best-paying video slots and reel slots?

Casino gaming is no longer just the selection of Blackjack, Baccarat, Craps, Roulette and Slots. There is much more to this kind of adult entertainment than meets the eye.

My Most Popular Books

Here are the cover photos of my currently available books. These can be found at the Gambler's Book Shop in Las Vegas, as well as in book stores everywhere, and at Google Books and Amazon.com.

These are my current series of books on casino games and gaming. They were all written together, as a unit, and many of the stories, instructions, methods and ideas all follow from one book to the next. They were conceived as a series that will be read together. I have put 5 years of my life into writing these books, and it wasn't easy. These books represent 20 years of casino gaming, and experience. I have included traditional methods and strategies, as well as some more advanced concepts. In some cases, I have also included what may be called "revolutionary" ideas on methods and strategies. It all depends on what your objectives are in playing casino games. Some play for entertainment, on vacation, or holiday, while others play more seriously for profit. I have written my books from both perspectives, to help the casual player play longer, more profitably, and thus gain greater pleasure from the vacation, or holiday trip. And, I have also included many strategies and methods that will appeal to the more serious gambler -- including some that are not generally known.

I have played with all these methods, and I have proven that they work as written -- as long as you learn them equally well, and provide for yourself the necessary dedication, if you are a serious gambler. And, of course, if you are a casual player, then you will like what I have written even more, because there are many easy-to-learn methods to help you have a lot more fun, and winnings, than may otherwise have been the case. I have poured my heart into these books, and so I hope you will give them a read, and enjoy them for the advantages they were intended to provide.

My TV Show and Poker Videos

This picture is a shot of me and two of my Showgirls from the production of what was to be my Poker TV Shows. It was a show about how to improve your results in playing poker. Both these lovely ladies were terrific, and we all had a grand time making these 13 episodes.

What happened to all these shows has a lot to do with the UIGEA of 2006, the Act of Congress that made things difficult for Internet poker. You can read more about this in My Blog, and also see these videos, and my Introduction, detailing these events, at this link:
